Havana, Cuba: travelers to be sampled for covid-19 in their municipalities
As of this Wednesday, January 19, 2022, PCR tests and antigen tests for those people who will travel permanently or temporarily outside Cuba will be carried out only in their municipalities of residence (temporary or permanent), announced Dr. Yadira Olivera Nodarse, provincial director of the Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Microbiology in Havana.
As usual in this type of procedure, travelers must present their identity card, travel ticket and passport at the time of the test.
The above information came out this Tuesday, January 18, during the meeting of the Temporary Working Group for the prevention and control of covid-19 in the Cuban capital.
Olivera Nodarse said that since the beginning of the year 2022 there has been a significant increase in the number of applicants for these tests, which has generated crowds of between 200 and 400 people on average every day in each of the four health centers where, until now, the tests were carried out for future travelers.
